We had our first ultrasound examination at 18 weeks. (We thought it was 16 weeks at the time!) The doctor took a first look at the brain, heart, kidneys, and bladder. All the organs looked fine. She measured the head and femur to estimate the critter's age. Below are two pictures taken during the process. For a light-hearted critique, check out Separated Before Birth.
